Question about IE and Domains

We have setup Lightstreamer on two seperate servers.
Machine A hosts the website and responds to http://company.comand http://www.company.com
Machine B Hosts lightstreamer and responds to push.company.com

When I visit http://company.comin Internet Explorer I get permission denied errors and the engine doesn't bind. If I visit www.company.com this problem does not occur.

It works using both URLs in Firefox.

Is this a security limitation in Internet Explorer or there a setting I need to change for IE?

I can confirm that's an IE restriction.
The documentation of the setDomain method gives some info on the case.
